What to expect?
You will walk in and wait for the practitioner to greet you and either take you to the intake room or to your seat in the treatment area.
When you enter the treatment area there will be several chairs in a semi-circle. You will be seated and if we didn't do a formal intake I may ask a few general questions in the group area.
Roll up your sleeves and pants. Needles will be placed in the corresponding areas relevant to your symptoms.
Once the needles are in, you will rest in the chair for about 30-45 minutes. This is your time to relax. Your nervous system needs to relax so the needles can do what they need to do.
How to be prepared?
Wear loose clothing. We are going to be placing needles in the limbs, and loose clothing will allow me access to these acupuncture points.
EAT BEFORE THE TREATMENT. This is very important. Make sure you have had a snack or light meal before the treatment.
Please speak quietly, people are receiving treatments.
Why group acupuncture?
There is something healing about being in a group. Just like when we do any activity in a group, as opposed to alone, the energy is amplified. Creating this group with the intention of healing is powerful and the effects are felt.
It is affordable. When you have health issues that require a series of treatments it can become expensive. Group acupuncture makes this healing modality more affordable and allows accessibility to most people on a regular basis.
If you have any questions about what to expect or what kind of ailments are best suited to this type of treatment please call.
